    Academic Fairs Club-Mrs. Spaulding Sponsor, Room 608

    Meets Every Monday 3:15-4:15 pm

    If you are interested in participating in the Science, Social Studies or Literature Fair this year, this club is for you. This is your go to space for information, guidance, designated time to work on your projects, and quick feedback. This club meets in room 608.

    Bears Who Code-Mrs. Murray Sponsor, Room 704

    Meets Every Thursday 3:15-4:15 pm

    In conjunction with Girls Who Code, Code.org, and CodeWV, this club meets Tuesdays from 3:15 - 4:15 in Room 704.
     
    This year, the team will be focusing on learning the coding language Python by completing Minecraft for Education Lessons on "Minecraft for Python". This curriculum walks students through learning how to code using Python from the simplest movements to encoding an entire Minecraft world.
     
    The real-world applications of this include: learning how to code for Robotics competitions using Python and VEX; learning how to code ArcGIS mapping software; and learning how to code web sites from scratch.
     

    Chess Club-Mr. Childers Sponsor, Room 610

    Meets Every Wednesday 3:15-4:15 pm

    Chess club takes the time-honored game of strategy and aims to teach the basics as well as more advanced techniques to your students. The environment will be for both casual as well as competitive players. All skill levels are welcome. 

     

    Good News Bears Club-Mrs. Spaulding Sponsor, Room 608

    Meets Every Tuesday 3:15-4:15 pm

    This is a Christian-based afterschool club. We will have lessons, memory verses, Minute-2-Win games and crafts. Students must have written permission to attend due to it being a religious club. This club meets in room 608. Download the permission slip here.

    Student Council-Mrs. Brewster Sponsor, Room 703

    Meets Every Other Thursday 3:15-4:15 pm

    Meeting Thursday, September 14th after school to get approval for membership. The criteria is a GPA of 3.0 and above, meets every other Thursday from 3:15-4, students must be able to volunteer a couple of Saturdays a month, and able to have fun! If you are unable to attend the initial meeting, see Mrs. Brewster in 703.
