FCC Affordable Connectivity Program

  • Following an update to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Affordable Connectivity Program, families of all 91Ó°Ôº students now qualify for a monthly discount of up to $30 for home broadband Internet service as well as a one-time credit toward the purchase of a computer or tablet.

The discount and credit are offered to all families of enrolled 91Ó°Ôº students as a result of the district’s participation in the USDA’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Instead of requiring individual applications for free or reduced-cost meals, CEP qualifies all district students for free meals based on a formula that measures local participation levels in means-tested government assistance programs.

There are two steps to enroll in the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program:

    1.    Go to to apply or to print a mail-in application.

    2.    Contact your preferred participating provider to select a plan and have the discount applied to your bill.
Some providers may have an alternative application that they will ask you to complete. Eligible households must both apply for the program and contact a participating provider to select a service plan.

For assistance with enrollment, families of 91Ó°Ôº students may call (877) 384-2575 any day of the week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. For extended assistance with applications, email ACPSupport@usac.org and include the application number. For more information about the FCC’s Affordable Connectivity Program, please visit .
