The Superintendent's Superhero for March 2023 is Adam Riazi, teacher at Cabell Midland High School. Mr. Riazi is a Mathematics and Computer Science teacher at Cabell Midland High School. In their nomination of Mr. Riazi, a student, who chose to remain anonymous, wrote, "I believe Mr. Riazi should be the Superintendent’s Superhero because he always does an excellent job at helping all of his students. He always makes me, and other students, feel cared about and important. Mr. Riazi never makes any of his students feel stupid and helps us work through problems as many times as needed until we understand."
 
Adam Riazi was named as a Mountaineer Mathematics Master Teacher Noyce Fellow, where he develops, promotes, and leverages mathematics teacher leadership across West Virginia. He was also honored as Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education national winner, a Computer Science Teachers Association national educator award recipient, and a multiple time National Center for Women & Information Technology and AP Computer Science Female Diversity award winner.
