Cabell Midland's Sarah Talkington's Art Makes Impression

An origami piece by Cabell Midland High School Art student Sarah Talkington was recently selected to be part of the 2023 High School Artist of the Tri-State Juried Exhibition.

Sarah says, "The big idea behind this kind of piece is taking smaller pieces and putting them together to create something new. Individually, each origami triangular fold doesn't represent anything other than a colorful folded piece of paper. However, once combined with others just like that but with ranging colors and shades, they work together to make any design your heart desires. In this case, a guitar for my love of music."
